Katrina voted best Indian celebrity match for Prince William

British born Katrina Kaif, one of Bollywood's leading actresses, has been voted the most ideal Indian celebrity match for Prince William in an online survey by matrimony website shaadi.com.

The survey result was announced Thursday, the eve of Prince William's wedding to Kate Middleton at London's Westminster Abbey.

The poll was conducted with 8,000 respondents and they were asked to choose from Katrina, Priyanka Chopra and Sonakshi Sinha. In the poll, 75.3 percent voters believed Katrina is the ideal choice. 'Desi girl' Priyanka received 16.7 percent votes, while Sonakshi got a heads up from a mere eight percent of the total people surveyed.

'With the hype of the Royal Wedding around the globe, Shaadi.com conducted the survey to reflect the enthused spirit about the wedding here in India too. The poll is part of the constant research that Shaadi.com conducts in its attempt to gauge the preferences of its members,' Gourav Rakshit, business head, Shaadi.com, said in a press statement.

Dabangg, Band Baaja Baaraat, Robot Bags IIFA Awards 2011

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Wednesday announced the winners of the technical awards categories for IIFA Awards 2011 with “Band Baaja Baaraat”, “Dabangg” and “Robot” leading the tally with three awards each. The trophies will be presented June 25 on the last day of the Videocon IIFA Weekend in Toronto, Canada.

Director Maneesh Sharma’s “Band Baaja Baaraat”, starring Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh, won awards for editing (by Namrata Rao), song recording for Vijay Dayal’s “Ainvayi ainvayi” and costume designing (by Niharika Khan).

Rajnikanth starrer “Robot” walked away with best art direction (Sabu Cyril), special effects and make-up (Banu).

Salman Khan starrer “Dabangg” won an award for choreography for the hit song “Munni badnaam hui”, choreographed by Farah Khan, while Leslie Fernandes bagged the award for song recording. The film also won the award for best action by S. Vijayan.

The award for best cinematographer went to Sudeep Chatterjee for “Guzaarish”. Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy won the award for the best background score for “My Name Is Khan” while Pritam Das won the best sound recording award for “Love, Sex Aur Dhoka”.

The IIFA Awards voting process is monitored by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), the official auditors for the event.

The remaining IIFA winners will be announced on the awards night.

According to the source, "Ileana hates NTR and doesn't even talk to him on the sets. She comes out of her van when the shot is ready, only to go back soon after. Ileana hates people who smoke around her and NTR deliberately lights up in front of her to annoy her. The only reason Ileana signed up for the film is because they were paying her 1.5 crore."

Allu Arjun’s Badrinath Audio Release on May 8th

Allu Arjun and V Vinayak’s big budget extravaganza, Badrinath, will resuming its remaining shoot from April 28th. Only two songs and couple of scenes are remained to film. So producer Allu Aravind is mulling over the film’s release date. Badrinath music launch – Allu Arjun Badrinath songs release function would be May 8. It was earlier said that Badrinath audio launch function would be held in the first week but now its almost confirm that Badrinath music launch function would be held on May 8. Allu Arjun Badrinath shooting resumes from April 28, where the unit would be canning couple of songs and few scenes on the movie’s lead cast – Allu Arjun and Tamanna Bhatia.

Naani with Nitya Menon in 'Sega' Telugu Movie Wallpapers

 

Naani and Nitya Menon are back together. After super hit, Ala Modalaindi , they will be seen in another film titled Sega. The film has shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil (in Tamil it is titled Veppam). Gautham Menon's associate Anajana has directed this film and the movie will be releasing both in Telugu and Tamil at the same time.

Ashok Vallabhaneni is producing the film on Manadesam movies banner. "Both Nandini Reddy, director of Ala Modalaindi and Anjana are good friends. Like Nandini brought novelty with her film, Anjana also made this movie in different manner. The movie is all about the youth and their temperamental nature," producer said.

The film also has Bindu Madhavi in another key role and has music by Joshua Sridhar ofPremiste fame. Sega will release shortly.

Vikram-Anushka’s ‘Deiva Thirumagan’ Dubs in Telugu

Vikram is among the handful of Tamil heroes who commands a huge fan following in Telugu as well. In the past few years, some of his films like Aparichitudu, Siva Putrudu had a great run at box-office in Andhra Pradesh. Most of his films in the past 10 years were either remade in Telugu or dubbed. Although, he recent films like Mallana, Raavana didn’t do well, that hasn’t stopped the makers of his upcoming Tamil film, Deiva Thirumagan to consider dubbing the film in Telugu. The first look of the film became the talk of the town, recently. Vikram plays a character named Krishna, who is a mentally challenged adult with the maturity of a five-year-old boy. Anushka plays a lawyer in the film and Amala Paul also plays an important role.Recently, the Tamil audio was launched in Chennai.

The music has been composed by G V Prakash. He’s currently recording the songs for the Telugu version of the film. A L Vijay has directed the film after Madarasapattinam, which was a huge hit in Tamil. More details about the Telugu version of the film including its title and the date of release is yet to be revealed.

Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Mani Ratnam At Maveeran’s audio launch

Almost after two years, the film is going to be released in summer this year and Geetha Arts has tied up with Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies to distribute the film all across Tamil Nadu.

The audio launch of the film supposed to happen on 16th April and Rajinikanth was expected to launch the album. However, the program was cancelled at the last moment. Now, Udhayanidhi Stalin has roped in Kamal Haasan to be the chief guest on the occasion. Chiranjeevi and Mani Rathnam are also expected to grace the occasion which would take place on April 24 in Chennai.

Jr. NTR’s 'Oosaravelli' First Look Images

 

NTR surprises one and all by naming his next film with a typical title, Oosaravelli (chameleon). After considering titles such as Racha, Surender Reddy and NTR felt that Oosaravelli is apt for the subject and hero's characterization.

NTR has previously worked with Surender Reddy in Ashok. That film didn't do well but Surender was recognized for presenting NTR in a new style. Oosaravelli first look poster doesn't give much of a clue about anything but the posters looks promising.

After the failure of Shakti, NTR will hope to bounce back with Oosaravelli. This film is slated for release in August and one has to say that it is too early to start the promotion activities of this film. However, this made it clear that Oosaravelli title is fixed and it is final. Tamanna is playing female lead role in this film.

RamGopal Verma's Reddy Garu Poyaru Movie First Look

We know that Ram Gopal Varma has started his next film tentatively titled ‘Reddy Gaaru Poyaaru’. "The movie deals with contemporary politics. Reddy Gaaru Poyaaru is primarily about the conspiracies behind the conspiracy theories" RGV tweeted. RGV has completed first draft of this film.

Now we need to wait and see whether the story is related to late YS Rajasekhara Reddy or late Maddelacheruvu Suri. However, the signs are clear that RGV is now planning to target AP Politics. Most likely it would be about YSR’s unfortunate death and the events that took place after his sudden death.
